Our Full Season Program consists of two scheduled services each year, once in the spring and once in the fall. These services are designed to coincide with the time of greatest insect and rodent activity. Included in this service is a visual inspection of your home, to help identify structural and environmental problems that are conducive to persistent insect activity.
Pests covered under this service include stinging insects, spiders, ants including carpenter ants, rats, centipedes, ground beetles, fleas, flies, millipedes, mice, roaches, pantry pests, earwigs, sow bugs, and silverfish. Not included in this program are termites, bedbugs, birds, bats and fur bearing animals such as squirrels, skunks and raccoons, and wood destroying fungus & beetles. Additional services are available to address these specific problems if they arise.
Most often services are contracted for “Perimeter Invading Insects”. These insects live just outside the home, but may end up inside due to nesting and foraging habits (i.e. spiders, earwigs, pill bugs, centipedes, ants, and wasps). To control this basic group of insects most applications are targeted to the exterior where insects enter, and to “non living space” areas, (such as basements and attics) where they may congregate in numbers and nest. Treatments to the interior living area (if needed) are targeted to specific areas of insect activity. Many times interior living area applications can be avoided all together.
Carpenter Ants - Advancements in carpenter ant control have led to low toxicity bait products which eliminate carpenter ants in the nest. This new technology is available to our full season service customers at no extra charge.
Other insects covered under this service may live inside the structure itself (i.e. Silverfish and carpet beetles). Still others such as stored product pests; roaches and fleas are transported into a house with food or on pets. These and other insects are treated with their specific biology and habitat in mind, special procedures and products may be used and special preparation may be required to increase effectiveness and reduce pesticide use.
If mice or rats are active at the time of the initial application, baiting procedures & exclusion will be used to control the problem at hand. More often times mice prevention is addressed during the fall service.
Fall services are scheduled starting in September. Post cards are sent to all customers as a reminder to call and schedule this service at your convenience.
